Is the NHS waiting list free?+
Yes. Joining the NHS waiting-list pathway is free for patients. It is designed to help route NHS registration interest when capacity becomes available.
Is OUCH only for emergencies?+
No. Urgent dental care remains a core use case, but the platform is expanding to include NHS waiting-list access and non-urgent/private treatment pathways too.
How does routing work?+
Your request is routed digitally to suitable nearby practices based on the pathway you choose and the type of care you are looking for. Urgent and non-urgent requests are not handled in exactly the same way.
Do I need to call dental practices myself?+
No. The point of the platform is to reduce the usual phone chase. You submit one request and suitable practices can review it digitally.
Does Alevian guarantee an appointment?+
No platform can guarantee availability. What it does is improve access by routing your request more efficiently and presenting a clear next step when a practice responds.
Do I pay anything upfront?+
Only where relevant and only if you decide to secure an appointment. For urgent and certain private pathways, a booking fee may apply when you choose to confirm. The NHS waiting-list pathway is free.
